Solution

If you have made your own backups, …

… you can restore it yourself at any time free of charge. If, for example, you have made manual or automatic time-controlled backups with the data backup tool provided in the webspace account, you can simply click on the desired backup and restore the parts you need from it. This is free of charge for you.

If you have not made your own backups, …

… you can possibly fall back on backups in the Bitpalace archive. Bitpalace creates a daily disaster recovery backup of all customer accounts including websites, databases, email accounts and configurations. This data is kept for at least 14 days. You can have the current daily status of your data restored retrospectively for 14 days from each day.

Despite a very high level of reliability and technically sophisticated software, it is by no means advisable to rely on this backup. You are responsible for your own data. According to the terms and conditions, you are also obliged to back up your data yourself so that you can restore them yourself at any time. Given the current state of technology, it cannot be guaranteed that all your data can be restored from our own backup.

You can imagine the huge amount of data Bitpalace holds in backup sets if all customer data is available as backups for every single day over a period of 14 days. The technical effort, the backup capacity and the amount of data from individual backup archives is so big that a high expenditure of personnel, time and resources is required to restore from the Bitpalace backup. Therefore, unfortunately, this service cannot be offered free of charge.

A data recovery from the Bitpalace archives is time-consuming because of the very large amount of data that needs to be moved for it.
